Terry Fox，他是來自加拿大英屬哥倫比亞省的普通少年，卻成為了非凡的傳奇。他和癌症抗爭和截肢的經歷激發了他結束癌症苦難的決心。Terry於1980年4月12日開始了一次橫越加拿大的長跑，以籌集癌症研究資金。他的旅程團結了加拿大人，但不幸的是，癌症卷土重來，1980年9月1日，他在跑了5,373公里後不得不停下來⋯

在1981年6月28日去世之前，Terry 為癌症病人跑出希望：幾乎每位加拿大人捐出1美元。除此之外，儘管他離開人世，但他對抗癌症的意志，點燃了癌症治癒希望的火花，並影響成千上萬的後人繼續接力跑下去，自1980年以來為抗癌籌集了超過850百萬美元，並為無數加拿大人帶來了希望與健康，證明了只要你努力【夢想也能成真】!

ABOUT TERRY FOX

🏃‍♂️Meet Terry Fox, an ordinary Port Coquitlam, BC teen who turned into an extraordinary inspiration. His battle with cancer and amputation fueled his determination to end cancer's suffering. Terry embarked on a cross-Canada run, starting on April 12th, 1980, to raise funds for cancer research. His journey united Canadians like never before, but cancer returned, and on September 1st, 1980, he had to stop after running 5,373 kilometers but he became a legacy in people’s hearts 🏃‍♂️

Before his death on June 28, 1981, Terry ran for hope for cancer patients: almost every Canadian donated one dollar. In addition to this, although he has left this world, his spirit of fighting against cancer ignited the spark of hope for a cure for cancer and influenced thousands of descendants. Since 1980, more than 850 million dollars have been raised for cancer research, bringing hope and health to countless Canadians and proving that dreams can come true if you try!
